Butterfly
In frame
You land, radiant colors in Blue
Unaware, a breathtaking light
And you make me want to fly.

Look closer.
You have seen me,
But do you see me?
Look closer.
You have known me,
But do you know me?
I have given you my sunshine,
Your wishes that float on the wind-
And yet…
You cut me down.
Come closer.
Can you see the
Delicate Explosion of Beauty
That is me?

Spring Morning
I watch.
Sunshine becomes grey.
A drop of rain slowly, quietly rolls down the pane of glass.
And I watch.
As our world becomes green again.

After seeing this photo and accompanying words I posted last evening, poet and friend, Lorenzo Bernardino was inspired to write this poem. Isn’t it incredibly beautiful?

Thank you, Lorenzo. You inspire me too!
Frank Cunha III, an incredibly talented, multi-faceted artist, architect, and friend was kind enough to feature some of my work on his amazing blog. Be sure to check out his other posts too - always fascinating!
Thank you so much, Frank - I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support!
